It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Leszek Mierzwinski on August 17, 2021 in Victoria. B.C. at the young age of 53. Leszek was born in Busko-Zdroj, Poland on May 5, 1968. His passing was due to a chronic medical condition.

In Memorial

In memory of our dear mother Carol Sue Lesperance. We are deeply saddened and heartbroken by the passing of our dear mother. Mom, we miss your laugh, your smiles and we miss dancing with you. You loved life and music, especially country music. Your Elvis is there with you and we are sure.

Carol is lovingly remembered by her children; Troy, Timmy, Tammy, John (passed), Christopher, Lenny and Christine.

Carol is also remembered by her sister Ruth Ann, brother Ron and brother Gregory.

Carol was grandmother to many and also a great grandmother.

We know you are happy to be finally home with our father, Leonard Joseph Lesperance.

This is a poem that Carol wrote.

Heart and Sorrow

Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow

He is in every tomorrow

Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles

I have only gone to rest a while

Although my leaving you causes pain and grief

My going has given me relief

So dry your eyes and remember me

Not as I am now, But as I used to be

Because I will remember you all

And look on with a smile

Understand in your hearts I have only gone to rest for a little while

As long as I have the love of each of you, I can live my life in the hearts of all of you

Christian Fortin

August 7, 1977 - June 20, 2021
In Memorial

The best way to write in praise of my beloved husband Christian is through the wisdom and poetry of one of our dearest Spiritual Teachers: Rumi. I leave you with some of our favourite Quotes:

“I learned that every mortal will taste death. But only some will taste Life”

“Die happily and look forward to taking up a new and better form. Like the sun, only when you set in the west can you rise in the east”

Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation”

“… what strikes the oyster shell does not damage the pearl”

“Lovers do not finally meet somewhere. They are in each other all along”

“The wound is the place where the Light enters you”

“Silence is the language of God, all else is poor translation”

“Where the lips are silent the heart has a thousand tongues”

‘Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself”

“Happy is the moment we sit together, with two forms, with two faces, yet one soul. You and I”

“To Love is human. To feel pain is human. Yet to still love despite the pain is pure Angel”

Christian Fortin, AKA. Frenchie

On the morning of Sunday, June 20, 2021, Christian’s Soul transitioned at the age of 43.  As per his wishes his shell was cremated and his remaining ashes were set free at ȽÁU,WELṈEW̱/John Dean Provincial Park. Christian will always be a beloved husband to his wife Silvia, and father to their kitty, Cheewaz. He is also survived in Quebec by his sisters, Marie-Eve and Isabelle, and his father Raynald. He was a dear friend to many others all over the world and strived to be a friend to all.

Christian was spiritually strong and compassionate, with a positive way of approaching life. He had a clever sense of humor that lit up any room. The world will be a little duller without his bright smile and giving heart. Above all, he loved and cherished his family and friends.

At this moment in lieu of flowers donations may be made to any of the following organizations in his honour:
