Age 68, of Victoria, BC, passed away suddenly on August 10, 2026. Michael lived a remarkably resilient life. A successful investment banker and a master mechanic since age 18, he never let his later vision loss slow him down. Entirely by touch, he orchestrated the remodel of his historic home and restored a vintage Model T Ford. Michael loved travelling, but his true passion was meeting people. He was a dedicated supporter of the CNIB and specialty guide dog organizations. Predeceased by his parents, John (Jack) and Betty Carpenter. Survived and deeply missed by his brothers, Russell Carpenter, Kevin Carpenter, and their families. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
In memory of Michael, please consider making a contribution to the CNIB.
