June Lucille Pemberton passed away peacefully at age 97 on November 02, 2023, at the Beckley Farm Lodge in Victoria, BC. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward George Pemberton and Agnes Kennedy Bruce, and her sister Phyllis Doreen (Pem) Nesset. She was a great aunt in every sense and was dearly loved by her nieces Randi and Linda and nephew Jan, their spouses Mike, Ken and Valerie, her grand nieces and nephews Ellen, Kirsten, Rebecca, Tristan, Sean and Eric, and great grand nieces and nephews Benjamin, Kingston and Amelia. June was born in Toronto and attended the University of Toronto. graduating with a BA in Art and Archeology in 1949. She was an Alpha Gamma Delta and a Varsity Blues cheerleader. June lived and traveled around the world including Yellowknife, Newfoundland, France, Ireland, Argentina and Turkey before returning to Toronto where she resumed her teaching career and love of painting with watercolours. The family wishes to thank the staff at both The Wellesley and Beckley Farm Lodge for their great care during her time in Victoria. A private cremation was held.
